The Bombers finished 5th in the sectional finals at Munster High School on Saturday to end their very successful season. The diving event was held on Saturday, and Morgan Molenaar advanced to the regionals with a solid second place finish. Morgan finished 12th in the breaststroke by dropping 0.63 seconds in the 100 breaststroke. Diving regionals will be at Penn High School on Tuesday this week. The top 8 divers from the regional will advance to the state meet on Saturday. Best of luck to Morgan!! Hayden Box finished 10th overall and had a great freshman season. None of the Bomber swimmers will be moving on to the state meet, but every swimmer had a PR on Saturday. The highest finish for the Bomber swimmers came from Sophomore standout, Aidan Geleott. Aidan finished 8th in the 100 butterfly, and he also finished 10th in the 200 IM with a PR. Eli Dobson surprised everyone by dropping 6.67 seconds in the 200 IM and finished 12th. Eli also finished 11th in the 100 butterfly. Juniors, Jacob Parrish and James Michael both had PRs in the 200 freestyle finishing 10th and 11th respectively. Jacob finished 10th in the 500 free and James finished 15th in the 100 free. John Michael had strong finish in the 500 free finishing 12th and dropping an astounding 15.23 seconds. John also finished 15th in the 50 free. Alex Nagel’s goggles broke at the start of the 500 free, but still maintained a very good time. Alex regained his composure and dropped 1.32 seconds in the 100 back finishing in 10th place. Senior, Bryce Powell had a great day dropping 3.33 seconds in the 100 fly finishing 16th overall. Bryce finished 16th in the 200 IM as well. Senior, Ben Olson ended his career by dropping 0.86 seconds in the 100 back and finished 15th.
