Bombers wrapped up their regular season with a 4th place in Hoosier Conference finish after losing a shootout with Western Panthers 49-42. Bombers were tied at 21 all at the half and after 3 quarters, Bombers were down 6. 4th Quarter saw both teams explode with a combined 43 points scored between the two teams. Bombers ended up scoring with 23 seconds left to pull within 7 points on a Tate Drone to Lake Webb TD catch. Luke Dixon’s onside kick was recovered to give the Bombers one more opportunity to get down the field but the pass was intercepted by the prevent defense of the Panthers. Bombers finished the regular season 5-4 and will head into tournament play hosting Bowman Academy on October 23rd at Emory Harrison Athletic Complex.

Statistically, Drone was 13-18 passing ffor 90 yards and 2 TDs. Rushing the ball Dylan Kidd had 31 attempts for 138 yards and 4 touchdowns, Kidd threw a pass to Kelton Hesson for 41 yards as well. Hesson added a touchdown catch on a shovel pass from Drone. Dixon was 6-6 on PATs and had a gorgous 53 yard punt in the Bombers lone Punt on the night.

Hesson led all Bombers with 9 tackles, followed by Lakin Webb’s 8 and Dylan Kidd’s 7.
