Bombers had a workman like night over at Benton Central coming away with a 39-6 victory over Hoosier Conference West opponent. Bombers had 26 first downs and 445 yards on the ground while throwing for 91 additional yards for a total of 536 yards on the night. QB Sophomore Tate Drone got his first start and he connected on 2 touchdowns, one to SR Noah BIerma right before half that pushed the lead to 19-6, the other in the 3rd quarter to fellow Sophomore Kelton Hesson. Hesson had 53 yards on the ground and took the pass 41 yards for the score. Leading ball carrier was Bierma who rattled off 164 yards and a touchdown. Addie Wilmington added 111 yards on on just 10 carries and had 2 touchdowns. Defensively, Bierma added a interception in the 2nd quarter that he took back 59 yards for a touchdown. Kiren Hesson had 2 sacks and 8 tackles to lead the defensive charge. Deric Duncan added a late interception to essentially end the game. Bombers are now 5-2 and will travel on the road to Northwestern next Friday night.
