The Bombers traveled North to KV Thursday night and were defeated by the Cougars. Rensselaer found themselves trailing by just 2 points at halftime, but poor shooting and turnovers led to a scoreless 3rd quarter. KV held a strong 14 point lead with just 6 minutes remaining to play in the game but the Bombers refused to quit, cutting the lead down to 2 points and having possession of the ball with 1:10 left in the game. The Bombers were unable to capitalize, and 8 made free throws by the Cougars secured their victory.
Leading the Bombers in scoring were Corbin Mathew with 18, Bryan Camarena scored 9 points and 16 rebounds, while Brock Hurley added 7 points.
In the B game, KV was also victorious by a score of 38-18. Max Carroll led the Bombers with 9 points and played a great game on both ends of the floor.
