The Rensselaer Central Bombers opened their season with a 77-49 win at home against their rival the Tri-County Cavaliers. The Bombers scoring came from eight players with junior Joshua Fleming leading all scores with 24. Senior Alex Gull dropped 14 and sophomore Brody Chamness chipped in 10. Five other Bombers added to the total: senior Noah Bierma (9), senior Jacob Hillan (6), senior Camden Chapman (5), sophomore Jacoby Tiede-Souza (5), and sophomore Tate Drone (4).

The Bombers return to action on Friday, December 6 at Joe Burvan Gymnasium versus Kankakee Valley Kougars. The Bombers are hosting a Firefighters Recognition night to say thank you to those who fought the fire on November 17 in downtown Rensselaer. Nine different fire departments came together to protect the community and they will be recognized between the JV and Varsity games.
