The Rensselaer Central Boys Soccer team got 4th place in Hoosier Conference Saturday after a strong Northwestern team scored 3 goals early in the game and two more in the 2nd half. Rensselaer was able to get one goal in the first half when freshman striker Alex Zaragoza took a pass from senior Jerrett Nagel and put the ball in the back of the net.
In the second game Rensselaer scored 2 goals vs. Central Catholic who took 3rd place honors in the conference play. Goals were scored by Junior Eli Kosiba and Nagel on an assist from Zaragoza. Daniel Messman had a total of 16 saves on the day and Jacob Hillan recorded a total of 3 saves.
The Bombers are now 11-3 on the season and will play at Hanover Central on Thursday and Central Catholic again on Saturday.
