What a night for the Rensselaer Bombers Football team who honored their Seniors and youth football night all while winning the School’s 600th win for the school. Bombers gave up an opening touchdown drive by Tipton to trail 7-0 but they never flinched and came right back to take a 16-7 lead at the half and extended it to 24-7 final in the 4th quarter. Defense settled in very nicely after the opening drive and limited Tipton to only 142 yards of offense, 99 rushing and 43 yards passing. Jacob Grow and Lorenzo Ramirez were in the backfield harassing the Tipton QBs all night and registered a solo sack each while Jarred Riegle and Jordan Cree each had an assisted Sack. Kelton Hesson and Luke Standish led the team with 7 tackles a piece. Offensively, the Bombers power rushing attack yielded 3 different 100 yard performances led by Senior Noah Bierma with 169 yards on 18 attempts and 2 touchdowns and a 2 pt conversion. Kelton Hesson sprung a huge 64 yard td run in the 4th quarter on his way to 143 yards on the ground and Addison Wilmington added 117 yards on his night and had 2 2pt conversion runs. Bombers finished the regular season 7-2 and 5th place in the Hoosier Conference and will go on the road next week in round 1 of Sectionals vs Wheeler.
