Game Recap

Rensselaer Central finished in 6th place in a loaded Hoosier Conference for 2017. Tipton defeated the Bombers 55-39 on Friday.

Tipton was able to run their methodical offense and sets in order to control the game from the second quarter on. The first quarter was back and forth as the teams traded baskets. The end of the first quarter at the buzzer Tipton got a layup at the buzzer to take a lead at 9-8.

The Bombers couldn’t get their offense going, which allows for three-point field goals. The Bombers were only able to make 1-three point field goal all game, by Ben Hillan. Ben also had another great night defensively by holding their leading scorer to only 4 points.

On the Bombers side, Jaylen Gilbert ended with 19 points and Landon Balch ended with 11 points. Rensselaer was efficient from the line finishing 10/13. They also had an efficient night shooting from the field, but just were not there defensively.

Rensselaer Central returns to action at Lafayette Jeff on Tuesday.
