Game Recap

Bombers Varsity football team finished up their regular season schedule by beating Hamilton Heights in Hoosier Conference cross over game action. Bombers victory secured 5th place overall in the vaunted Hoosier Conference. Bombers ran the ball for 312 yards, led by Jordan Owens who had 21 carries for 155 yards and 2 tds. Brayden Wright added 72 yards and 1 td and Jaylen Gilbert did a great job leading the offensive from QB position with 53 huge yards on 8 carries and added 3-4 passing for 39 yards. Bombers defense got the night started off right by a huge option pitch knock down by Anthony Ybarra, who also scooped it up and scored from 45 yards out in the 1st quarter. Anthony also added 6 tackles and a pass breakup. Leading the Bombers in tackles was Ben Korniak who had 10. Luke Branson was great coming off the edge from his DE position and harassed the QB all night long, which led to 2 sacks. Bombers finish the regular season at 6-3 and start the 3a tournament next week at Calumet High School.
